How to use these pages

Start with the theme. It names the month for residents who cannot read the calendar, and it tells staff what the unit should smell and sound like each week. Then take the observances table and pick the six or eight dates that fit your residents — the federal holiday, the family ones, and the anniversaries they lived through. Drop the rest. Fill the weekday anchors from the sample week, keep the evening column the same every night, and write the one-to-one visits on the plan where a surveyor can see them.

Every idea carries an ability code — I for Independent, S for Supported, Sen for Sensory — so one calendar serves the whole unit.
